Argumentative Techniques

When writing an argumentative paper, it is important to develop the main idea of each paragraph by using specific details. Each sentence within that paragraph will contribute to that main idea. By combining some of the techniques within this tab, you can develop your ideas more fully. For example, a paragraph (or a sequence of paragraphs) might first identify a problem, divide the solution into two parts, and then examine the effects of each part.
